Dr. Elizabeth Marazita - Co-Founder, Paths of Health, Inc.

Dr. Elizabeth Marazita, Licensed Acupuncturist, is a co-founder of Paths of Health, Inc. Elizabeth's health care philosophy is one of empowerment, education and self-care.  She is a clinical faculty in Reflexology and Qi Gong at the University of Washington School of Nursing in Seattle, Washington, USA.  She is also an adjunct faculty in reflexology and Qi Gong at Bastyr University's annual Complementary and Alternative Medicine Camp and Continuing Education Program.

As a Columbia University graduate in International Business and Economics and a Michigan State University Graduate in International Affairs, Elizabeth was an International Banker in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Beijing for many years where she became interested in Asian Paths of wellness to cope with her corporate stresses.  Her studies in Tai Qi, Foot Reflexology, Herbal Medicine, and Acupuncture led her to a career change from Finance to Health care.  She is a graduate from Bastyr University in Traditional Chinese Medicine.  She received her doctorate in 2007, with a specialization in Oncology.

Growing up, Elizabeth learned foot reflexology protocols from her maternal grandmother in Northern Michigan who studied with the American reflexology pioneer Eunice Ingham.  Elizabeth has formally studied foot reflexology in Hong Kong and London. She travels regularly to China and Asia to research Chinese Medicine and reflexology.  Her specializations in Chinese Medicine include oncology (cancer research), gynecology and autoimmune diseases.  In 2004, Elizabeth led a team of 50 Bastyr students and faculty to construct the first public reflexology path in the United States.   The local and national news and journals celebrated the event which led to a demand for reflexology paths of health and to the creation of Paths of Health, Inc.

Elizabeth's language fluency in English, Mandarin Chinese, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese allow for international consultations, training and professional presentations. Dr. Marazita currently lives in Switzerland as a banking executive and continues to write, research and teach foot reflexology and Qi Gong.
