Michael Spano, Licensed Acupuncturist is a co-founder of Paths of Health, Inc. Michael lectures internationally on Chinese Medicine and Multiple Sclerosis. He has formally studied pain management, internal medicine and autoimmune diseases at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Michael is an an adjunct professor of Chinese Medicine at the Bastyr University Clinic for Natural Health. Michael's childhood recovery from allergies thanks to acupuncture led him to change his career from corporate management to Chinese Medicine. Michael lectures regularly on the Chinese Medical theories of natural health and for multiple sclerosis in particular. He has traveled extensively in Peru, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and China to investigate herbal medical protocols and the public health modality of foot reflexology paths. Michael's love of landscaping and garden design combined with his expertise in Chinese Medicine and commitment to public health have led him to design the indoor and outdoor reflexology path designs licensed by The Paths of Health, Inc. |
| Dr. Elizabeth Marazita, Licensed Acupuncturist, is a co-founder of Paths of Health, Inc. Elizabeth's health care philosophy is one of empowerment, education and self-care. She is a clinical faculty in Reflexology and Qi Gong at the University of Washington School of Nursing in Seattle, Washington, USA. She is also an adjunct faculty in reflexology and Qi Gong at Bastyr University's annual Complementary and Alternative Medicine Camp and Continuing Education Program. As a Columbia University graduate in International Business and Economics and a Michigan State University Graduate in International Affairs, Elizabeth was an International Banker in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Beijing for many years where she became interested in Asian Paths of wellness to cope with her corporate stresses. Her studies in Tai Qi, Foot Reflexology, Herbal Medicine, and Acupuncture led her to a career change from Finance to Health care. She is a graduate from Bastyr University in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She received her doctorate in 2007, with a specialization in Oncology. Growing up, Elizabeth learned foot reflexology protocols from her maternal grandmother in Northern Michigan who studied with the American reflexology pioneer Eunice Ingham. Elizabeth has formally studied foot reflexology in Hong Kong and London. She travels regularly to China and Asia to research Chinese Medicine and reflexology. Her specializations in Chinese Medicine include oncology (cancer research), gynecology and autoimmune diseases. In 2004, Elizabeth led a team of 50 Bastyr students and faculty to construct the first public reflexology path in the United States. The local and national news and journals celebrated the event which led to a demand for reflexology paths of health and to the creation of Paths of Health, Inc. Elizabeth's language fluency in Mandarin Chinese, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese allow for international consultations, training and professional presentations. |

| Dr. Paul Raish's love of nature, rock, stone and plants and his commitment to natural medicine led him to become a reflexology path designer with Paths of Health, Inc. His Naturopathic Studies at Bastyr University included specialized studies in physical medicine and reflexology. In the summer of 2006, he was a delegate to the 35th Congress of the International Society of Medical Hydrology and Climatology in Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Raish's professional, personal and international naturopathic background are perfectly married to invest his expertise in designing and building 'Paths of Health, Inc'. reflexology paths. Dr. Raish grew up on a dairy farm in Pennsylvania where he received the state's highest award in the Future Farmers of America. Now as a Naturopathic Physician, he sees his future designing and "planting" reflexology paths to enhance both the public and private health in America- naturally! His wife, Ruth and 3 children are regular visitors to our reflexology work sites and inaugurations! |
