“Reflexology Road”

Modeled on similar routes found throughout Asia, Bastyr University’s
64-foot-long reflexology path near Seattle stimulates bare feet with
chi-rich river rocks up to two-inches high.

Elizabeth Marazita, a licensed acupuncturist and adjunct professor
at the school, created the project last year to teach the campus and
community about reflexology.  She says each successive 10-minute
walk on the path gets easier (i.e., less uncomfortable), all the while
enhancing health as crystallized toxins in the feet are stimulated,
dissolved, and released.  Breathing with each step is encouraged,
so the stroll doubles as a meditation.
